Getting a Tattoo Advice and Guidence

Before you go out and get tattooed there are few things you will need to take note of first. Getting a tattoo is not something you should take lightly it will be with you for the rest of your life, so you must be sure you have found the perfect tattoo before you make it permanent on your skin.

Finding your perfect tattoo.

There are a variety of ways to find tattoo designs to browse through, there are literally thousands and thousands of free sources online which have tattoo flash, photos and sketches for you to browse. One thing you need to realise though, is that these images may have also been viewed by thousands of other people. Most people would like to get a tattoo that is completely unique to them and has not been Used by anyone else. This may also be true for the tattoo flash you can find in tattoo studios, so the best way to have something unique and custom to you is to either design something yourself using a design you find or asking an experienced tattoo artist to design one for you.

Make sure you are sure.

I cannot emphasise how important it is for you to take your time deciding on your perfect tattoo, having a tattoo you hate would be nothing short of a disaster. If you don’t believe me, do a Google image search for bad tattoo and you should get the idea. Once you think you have found your tattoo do not be afraid to ask advice of your friends and family, it is much easier for them to tell you the honest truth when the tattoo is on paper and not your skin. Keep a copy of the tattoo with you for the next week or so, stick it on the ceiling above your bed so it is the first thing you see in the morning when you wake up, stick it on the fridge, have it as your computer desktop wallpaper. If you get sick of the sight of it, maybe it isn’t the perfect tattoo for you.

Finding the right tattooist.

Most tattoo artists will specialise in a certain type of tattoo design which they will enjoy doing and produce better work while doing them. Do not be afraid to ask their experience level, which type of tattoo they prefer to do and ask to see sketches, photos of their past work. A good tattoo artist will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
